Frequently Asked Questions

We generally travel within a 10 mile radius centered on Minneapolis for our on-going maintenance services and installation projects. (This area includes Wayzata, Edina, St. Paul, and Plymouth.) While this distance is firm for maintenance, we are willing to travel farther for a plant installation project for an additional fee. Feel free to reach out and we can discuss travel details further.

01. Which parts of Minneapolis, St Paul, and the Twin Cities metro area do you cover?

The best way to reach us if you have a plant question is to contact us and we will get back to you within 2-5 business days. Please do not text or Instagram DM your questions—they will get lost! Emailing or contacting us through our website is always the best way to reach us.

02. What if I have a plant question for you?

Absolutely! One of our favorite things about what we do is coaching novice gardeners and helping them develop a love for plants. We are happy to teach you how to care for your plants, including how often to water, how to battle fungus gnats and other pests, and what those yellowing leaves really mean. We also can suggest or install low-maintenance plants that are difficult to kill and only need watering once or twice a month. We’re here to make it easy for you, no matter your skill level.

03. I'm a total plant beginner. Can you help me learn how to care for my plants?

Yes, we would love to set up a maintenance consultation with you and your existing plants. During our first consultation with you, we will make suggestions on how to improve your plants’ health before we begin caring for them. We will discuss upfront any costs for improvements such as uppotting your plants (moving up a planter size), adding drainage holes to existing pots, improving your soil health, or rearranging plants to best suit your environment.

04. Can you provide maintenance for plants I already own?

Visit us at our monthly pop-up shop at our Plant Studio at the Northrup King Building in Northeast Minneapolis! We open our doors every third Saturday of the month from noon to 4pm, as well as any block-wide open studio events. In our studio, you’ll find hard-to-find plants, everyday favorites, easy-to-grow plants for new plant parents, and accessories for the plant-loving lifestyle. We can also special order anything that is not currently available in the shop, just ask.

05. What if I just want a plant or two?

We love collaborating with clients who have their own sense of style. Feel free to send us your Pinterest boards and inspo photos so we can get a better picture of your unique style goals. Not sure which style you gravitate towards? That’s okay! We will help you develop your personal style preferences and offer you suggestions based on the architecture and functions of your space. P.S. Not all plants are right for all spaces, so trying to replicate a specific Instagram plantscape might not be exactly right—but we can totally work with your inspiration to customize a design that fits your taste.

06. I have a particular design style in mind—will you use my ideas and inspiration?

We design with planters that match the aesthetic of your space. For instance, in a restaurant influenced by Italian cuisine, we typically use rustic and neutral colored containers with Mediterranean-style plants. In a cafe inspired by Mexican cuisine, we may use planters with patterns, subtle pops of color, and Southwest inspired plants like cacti and succulents.

07. In addition to plant varieties, how do you choose the style of planters for my space?
